This weekend the IKK novice knockdown karate tournament November 2016 took place at Folkestone karate club at Pent Valley. 
30 fighters aged between 8 and 51 travelled from all over Kent to take part in this full contact competition. Categories were split by age, size and ability. The competitors were cheered on by a loud and excited crowd of fellow karateka, parents, friends and family.
The standard was very high with some great fighting from all those involved. The confidence to step onto the mat takes courage in itself and the IKK is proud of all its fighters for showing true Kyokushin spirit, OSU!
