IKK at the 2018 BKK English Open Knockdown Tournament

The IKK were proud to both be invited and to take part in the BKK English Open Knockdown Tournament in Great Dunmow, Essex, on the 13th of May 2018, and brought home trophies in all categories we were competing in. It could have been more but our 15-16 year old cadets could not attend as they had their GCSE’s the day after!

The boys under 12’s was won by Bowie Barker with Morgan Cousins taking 2nd.


In the boys under 14 category Enes Yorulmaz took 2nd, with Louis Sorge and Cody Chapman both picking up 3rd.


In the girls under 14 Imogen Byrne took 1st place, with Poppy Angus-Broyad coming away with 3rd place.


In the under 16’s boys Callum Chapman took 1st place and Chani Barnes 2nd for the girls.

Mark Milton took 3rd place in the Mens Open Middleweight.

Finally, Jack Clemo came 3rd in the Mens Open Heavyweight category, and also picked up the fastest knockout after KO’ing his opponent within 12 seconds with an amazing double mawashigeri jodan kick.

The overall standard was exceptional with great spirit from all involved, and we couldn’t have been prouder of all of our fighters.
